What To Do When You Are -

Afraid

God did not give us a spirit that makes us afraid but a spirit of power
and love and self-control.
2 Timothy 1:7

The Spirit we received does not make us slaves again to fear; it makes us children of God. With that Spirit we cry out, "Father." And the Spirit himself joins with our spirits to say we are God's children. Romans 8:15-16
Where God's love is, there is no fear, because God's perfect love drives out fear. It is punishment that makes a person fear, so love is not made perfect in the person who fears. 1 John 4:18
Those who go to God Most High for safety will be protected by the Almighty. I will say to the LORD, "You are my place of safety and protection. You are my God and I trust you." Psalm 91:1-2
But the people who trust the LORD will become strong again. They will rise up as an eagle in the sky: they will run and not need rest; they will walk and not become tired. Isaiah 40:31
He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you can hide. His truth will be your shield and protection. You will not fear any danger by night or an arrow during the day. You will not be afraid of diseases that come in the dark or sickness that strikes at noon. At your side one thousand people may die, or even ten thousand right beside you, but you will not be hurt. Psalm 91:4-7
So we can be sure when we say, "I will not be afraid, because the Lord is my helper. People can't do anything to me." Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Hebrews 13:6, 8
Nothing bad will happen to you. No disaster will come to your home. He has put his angels in charge of you. They will watch over you wherever you go. The LORD says, "If someone loves me, I will save him." Psalm 91:10-11, 14
You won't be afraid of sudden trouble; you won't fear the ruin that comes to the wicked, because the LORD will keep you safe. He will keep you from being trapped. Proverbs 3:25-26
I will build you using fairness. You will be safe from those who would hurt you, so you will have nothing to fear. Nothing will come to make you afraid. Isaiah 54:14
I trust in God. I will not be afraid. What can people do to me? Psalm 56:11
Even if I walk through a very dark valley, I will not be afraid, because you are with me. Your rod and your walking stick comfort me You prepare a meal for me in front of my enemies. You pour oil on my head; you fill my cup to overflowing. Psalm 23:4-5
God knew them before he made the world, and he decided that they would be like his Son so that Jesus would be the firstborn of many brothers. So what should we say about this? If God is with us, no one can defeat us. Can anything separate us from the love Christ has for us? Can troubles or problems or sufferings or hunger or nakedness or danger or violent death? As it is written in the Scriptures: "For you we are in danger of death all the time. People think we are worth no more than sheep to be killed." But in all these things we have full victory through God who showed his love for us. Yes, I am sure that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor ruling spirits, nothing now, noting in the future, no powers, nothing above us, nothing below us, nor anything else in the whole world will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our LORD. Romans 8:29, 31, 35-39
All you who put your hope in the LORD be strong and brave. Psalm 31:24
I leave you peace; my peace I give you. I do not give it to you as the world does. So don't let your hearts be troubled or afraid. John 14:27
The LORD is my light and the one who saves me. I fear no one. The LORD protects my life; I am afraid of no one. If an army surround me, I will not be afraid. If war break out, I will trust the LORD. Psalm 27:1, 3
