If you think you are strong, you should be careful not to fall. 
The only temptation that has come to you is that which everyone 
has. But you can trust God, who will not permit you to be 
tempted more than you can stand. But when you are tempted, he 
will also give you a way to escape so that you will be able to 
stand it.
1 Corinthians 10:12-13



Since we have a great high priest, Jesus the Son of God, who has 
gone into heaven, let us hold on to the faith we have. For our 
high priest is able to understand our weaknesses. When he lived 
on earth, he was tempted in every way that we are, but he did not 
sin, Let us, then feel very sure that we can come before God's 
throne where there is grace. There we can receive mercy and grace 
to help us when we need it.

My brothers and sisters, when you have many kinds of troubles, you 
should be full of joy, because you know that these troubles test your 
faith, and this will give you patience. When people are tempted and 
still continue strong, they should be happy. After they have proved 
their faith, God will reward them with life forever. God promised 
this to all those who love him.

God is strong and can help you not to fall. He can bring you before 
his glory without any wrong in you and can give you great joy. He is 
the only God, the One who saves us. To him be glory, greatness, power, 
and authority through Jesus Christ our Lord for all time past, now 
and forever, Amen.
Jude 24-25



This makes you very happy, even though now for a short time different 
kinds of troubles may make you sad. These troubles come to prove that 
your faith is pure. This purity of faith is worth more than gold, which 
can be proved to be pure by fire but will ruin. But the purity of your 
faith will bring you praise and glory and honor when Jesus Christ is 
shown to you.
