The Transfiguration Of Jesus

August 6 (Matt.17:1-10; Mark 9:2-10; Luke 9:28-36) Jesus was nearing the end of his mission. Shortly, he would sacrifice himself for the Salvation of the world. What would his dis- Ciples say if they saw him die on a cross Like a criminal? They had to be spiritually Prepared so that they would not have any Doubt about the Lord's divinity. Therefore, he took three of his most faith- Ful disciples, Peter, James and John, and Together they climbed to the top of Mt. Tabor. There, the three disciples witnessed The transfiguration of the Saviour. Suddenly, his face shone like the sun and His garments were as white as light. At the Same time, the Prophet Elias appeared on His right and Moses on his left side. And Then a celestial voice was heard saying, "This is my beloved son. Hear him".

I am learning a little more every day

Unless you make every waking a learning process, you are
wasting a major portion of your life. You can learn from
people you do not like as well as from those you love. You
can learn from the elders and the youth. You can learn more
about the things you know about and fine - tune the things
you are good at. You can learn by observing, listening and
serving. You can learn by assisting, completing and forgiving.
Never withdraw from the education process by picking and
choosing from who you can learn. Keep your mind open, your
ears attuned and your willingness to learn in the humble
state of a student.

One's work may be finished someday but one's education,
never
